If we have a superfit then the opponents do also, and I fear we will end up defending a spade contract. I agree that it is probably our hand to play in 3-red, but can we stop there after (opponents silent) P-1H; 1S-2D; 2S-3D?

At MPs I have to open 1H, but at teams I take the better part of valor and pass. What am I giving up? I should think a partial at most.

I have probably psyched as much as anyone on here. This is a pointless, stupid gamble. The upside of this hand is that you might have a game in one of your suits and your bid does nothing to go in that direction. By the time you have sorted out your bidding what the heck is partner going to think? It isn't the opponents you have to worry about.

I think if you bid spades, then hearts, and then bid and rebid diamonds, the opponents might figure out that you don't have 15 cards. I seems a stretch to think that you can psyche a spade, find a fit and still keep the opponents in the dark. And, if you can't do that, what's the point of the psyche.
If you just want to keep the opponents out out spades a pass is sufficient, and gives a sure non-negative score
